This is a blog about me.
This is a blog about things that are part of me: being fat, being Jewish (or becoming Jewish), being female, and being on the autistic spectrum.
This is a blog which is intended to be a safe space. No concern trolling, no psychological ignorance, no hatred. This is not a democracy; anything I don’t like or think isn’t constructive gets deleted and you get banned.
This is a blog where my language may offend you. I lack the patience to tiptoe around. I’m not going out of my way to offend anyone or hurt anyone’s feelings, but there’s a lot of times when I’d rather get to the point than cater to everyone. I will post trigger warnings for Very Serious Things, but otherwise, take your easily-offended ego somewhere else. (Triggering does not mean the same thing as offensive, by the way.)
This is a blog where I don’t mind a bit of educating; it bugs the shit out of me when I want to learn about something and people won’t even push me in the right direction.
This is a blog where I promote awareness, but not lazy awareness – it doesn’t matter that you know what autism is; it matters what you do with the knowledge and whether or not you use it for good.
This is a space I hope you find informative and enlightening.
